STEP 1 | If you have just moved, go and get yourself a chiropractic or osteopathy treatment followed by a facial. You have earned it and are no doubt feeling it in your body from head to toe from the move. Sounds good doesn’t it? Do it even if you haven’t moved, treat yourself. We love the following therapists who are truly magical and gentle in their approach to treatment;

Rhianna the myotherapist, click here for details
STEP 2 | Gather Inspiration. Gather magery that you love of what you want your home to look and feel like and stick them on the fridge for four weeks
STEP 3 | Detailed room-by-room interiors briefing to cover the pragmatic, practical, and ever-so-important details of everyday living
STEP 4 | We review your mood board imagery together to establish the home’s unique design language
STEP 5 | We meet a second time to thoroughly de-brief what memories, places, or people were or are important in your life using the therapeutic arts to evoke these memories and or emotions within your home through the specific inclusion of materials, textures, and or colours

Moving…
home is a huge undertaking physically and mentally. Be kind to yourself as you settle into your new rhythm and adjust to your new surroundings. It takes four weeks to create a new habit so allow yourself a minimum of four weeks to settle into your new home with your newly established routines.

Here’s a link to our blog on surviving and moving for restorative and supportive ideas to traverse one of life’s major events.
Get yourself some bath soak here and if you don’t have a bath a foot soak is equally as restorative which;
reduces fatigue,
calm the mind and improve sleep,
lower blood pressure,
improve skin conditions and beauty
strengthen muscles and bones

Gathering inspiration……..
In this time if you have just moved from selling your home, gather imagery that you love to represent what you want your home to look and feel like.
Stick the images on the fridge and live with the images for four (4) weeks as you open and shut the fridge every day.
Why I hear you ask…
During these four weeks, you will traverse all of life’s ups and downs to establish what you need in your home to support you and or your family/partner emotionally and physically by responding to these images in your differing emotional highs and lows.
Circle what you like about the images and write keywords on the images, so you don’t forget what it is that you like.
Over the four weeks remove images from the fridge that no longer resonate for you.
Why stick the images to the fridge I hear you ask again….
Because it’s an incidental place where you can have conversations while cooking dinner about the future home goals with your partner/wife/husband, NOT your friends or family. You want to get a clear visual formed in your mind’s eye of what you want the new home to look and feel like. If you do not agree do not worry I have you sorted I promise as I am an interior design history buff/nerd same thing and can meld your styles to work together.
Asking other people for advice on your new home, who are not living in the home, is like asking for life advice. Don’t do it as it will cause a world of confusion for you.
Let’s work through your concerns together, write these down on a separate piece of paper and stick it to the fridge.
Too busy and don’t have a printer. No problem. Create a Pinterest board with all your favourite imagery and we can work with this.

Room by Room Briefing
Here we cover the ever-so-important details of everyday living. Like how many people sit at your dinner table every day and how many people sit at your table at big functions.
This tells us how big the room and furniture need to be to accommodate the most important people in your life all year round.

Reviewing your inspiration
The day has come where we meet to delve deep into creating the design language of your home by reviewing your inspiration and really getting to know your home on a deeper level. I am a visual person and images speak to me. I begin to form inspiration and gather materials libraries in my mind’s eye for your home.
With my design sensibility, we begin to form an understanding of your preferences for light, mood, repetition, asymmetry vs symmetrical preferences, and proportions to curate your dream home. I see into the images on a deeper level and start to form a design language with repetitive themes that might not be as clear to you. This is where the magic starts to happen in the design process for your home.

Return Brief
We will compile all that we have discussed and create a detailed Return Brief for you to sign off, ensuring that we have heard you correctly, capturing all your practical and cosy wishes for your home.
Floor Plans
We will meet with you in two - four weeks to present a floor plan to capture all that we have worked on together.
Over the next few weeks, we will tweak the floor plan with changes until it is just right.
Furniture & Soft Furnishings
We allow for the consideration of furniture and soft furnishings early. We do this to ensure that your budget allows for the entire house design to create a completely finished picture-perfect interior that looks and feels complete. Gaudi the architect was trained in both interior design and architecture and he considered every detail of the home right down to the ergonomics of the door handle to ensure every tactile element of the home was considered for comfort. I take the same approach for a well-considered individual sensory experience for your home to create the epitome experience.
This is what a sustainable design approach considers by ensuring every facet is well-considered and thoughtfully put together for your satisfaction for years to come.
3D Renders
We go away to create the magic and come back to present you with the design vision and look and feel that we have curated uniquely for you. Along with a materials and finishes palate that responds to your budget and unique construction time frames with loose samples presented to touch and feel.
We use as many Australian-made and sustainable building materials as possible
One Point of Contact
We take care of everything from arranging building permits, structural engineering, historical reports, town planning, and trade quotes to building contracts and assisting you with a move-out date and move-in date for your newly renovated or built home.
We work with trusted builders and trades that have been well-vetted. Trusted working relationships have been established well before your project is mentioned ensuring quality tradesmanship to the finest quality that will delight and exceed your expectations.

How I manage the Design Budget
We send the set of plans to the nominated builder to price to ensure we meet your budgetary expectations and make any final amendments after discussions with you and the builder on how to best meet your expectations. By going through this added step in the design process we minimise the number of surprises during construction and ensure that the initial design vision is maintained without compromising on quality or aesthetics.
Construction Documentation
An Architectural set of documentation is compiled to capture all the inner workings of the Schematic Design Phase and a final set of Issue For Construction documents is created to obtain building permits and commence the exciting journey of building or renovating your new home!
