Energy, sex, and passion, rooted to the base chakra, it is the colour of war and love. It is a striking colour that you cannot miss with the energy it commands. This is why it is most commonly used in warning symbols, as it is the easiest colour to detect. For me it symbolises courage, grounding and the passion of life that the South American cultures, so strongly vibrate in every way they live. Especially within their interiors.

Needing a bit more passion, vitality or sex in your life this week. Live like the South Americans with you heart on your sleeve, passion in your veins and stay tuned to our Instagram #interiorflowcomau on how to use this grounding colour in your interior this week.

THE HOW: The South American cultures passion for life,  is proudly adorned on their walls, fabrics and rugs. There is movement, ornate decoration, passion through warmth of colour and selection of materials and timbers. The interiors are proudly Spanish. Even the more modern minimalist Spanish interiors have a little bit of Spain through a touch of quirk and bright colour.

The simple use of a fireplace in an interior brings warmth to any space. Try implementing a gas log look alike fireplace as a feature to your home or office for more warmth to your space and it’s a safe option that’s easy to maintain.
